Hi, we’re Liz and Anna, two women with a true, out-of-control, want-it-all, passion for fashion. The problem?  A girl’s got to support her habit and to do that, we landed jobs in the corporate world where we encountered unfamiliar territory: we hadn’t a clue what to wear!

It was then that we quickly realized that the worst part of our day would be the morning face-off with the dueling personalities of our closets (the chic weekend wardrobe vs. the yuck weekday wardrobe).  We can handle angry clients and never-ending conference calls, but for a style-savvy girl, trudging into the office feeling like a total frump ruins the day faster than catching a fugly co-worker sneak a peak at your ass before you’ve even had your morning latte. Sound familiar?  The fact is our fab sense of self can often be lost upon entering the workplace.  We want to be stylish but appropriate, creative but professional, sexy but smart and striking a balance can be more difficult than landing the job.  And this, our beautiful friends, is where we come in…

We’ve created The Sequined Blazer (TSB) in hopes that it will be your go-to resource for how to look and feel like your young, savvy, bombshell self long after the weekend has passed. Here, your work-week style conundrums will be solved as we help you navigate Monday through Friday with a renewed sense of confidence.  With the inspiration of our favorite magazines, online style sites, fantastic looking people on the street, and a glimpse into our own closets, we promise you will never look at Monday morning the same.

Liz is a co-founder of The Sequined Blazer.  A recent graduate from the University of Maine School of Law, Liz has recently begun a lustrous career as an associate at a downtown Portland law firm.  When she is not zealously representing clients in court, she can be found in an Old Port Boutique, running the boulevard, drinking a smoothie or watching a Showtime or HBO series on Netflix.

Anna is a co-founder of The Sequined Blazer.  A Southern Belle at heart, in 2007 she moved from Alabama to to Portland, Maine where she emerged on the corporate scene as Marketing Coordinator at Creative Office Pavilion.  When she is not busy leading marketing campaigns or organizing snazzy client events, she can be found bargain shopping, scouring through fashion mags, noshing on sushi and volunteering for big brothers/big sisters.
